Standing Seam Metal Roofing - Architectural Enhancement
Metal roofing has long been the first choice by commercial and agricultural building owners due to its longevity and resilience to harsh weather conditions. More recently we have seen a growing demand for the residential owners of homes that are looking for much the same.
Metal roofing systems are strong, long lasting, reliable, and maintenance free. They come in a wide variety of colours and profiles, and will add a distinct and unique look to your home.
Steel and aluminum roofs are commonly highlighted by their high quality baked enamel finishes that offer many years of corrosion free life. Copper and zinc roofs offer a more European type look with their protective natural patina.
Commercial Flat Roofing
We are qualified to do install both "Torch-On "and TPO roofing systems.
Membrane roofing is a type of roofing system for buildings. It is used on flat or nearly flat roofs to prevent leaks and move water off the roof. Membrane roofs are most commonly made from synthetic rubber, thermoplastic (TPO or similar material), or modified bitumen ("torch down"). These types of materials have become the replacement for asphalt roof systems, an older, less effective type of flat roofing system. Membrane roofs are most commonly used in commercial applications, though they are becoming increasingly more common in residential application.
Fiberglass Asphalt Shingles
Use a relatively new technology introduced in the early 1980's. A woven fiberglass mat is used as the core of the shingle, is heavier in weight and appears thicker in appearance. The strength of the woven fiberglass mat requires less asphalt to give the shingle its true strength. They are ASTM Class A Fire rated.
BC Premium Cedar Shakes & Shingles
Recognized as a leader in our knowledge of cedar shakes and shingles, we are one of a handful of "Approved Installers" recognized by the Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau. We also enjoy an excellent relationship with the finest Cedar Mills.
In North America shakes are typically made from Western Redcedar (Thuja plicata). There are various types of shakes, the main differentiating feature between shakes and other types of shingles is that shakes are split while most shingles are sawn on all sides. The sizes also vary from country to country; in North America shakes are usually made in 24-inch lengths - the most common, 18-inch barn shake, or even 48-inch shakes, which are typically used for siding. Likewise wooden shakes & shingles are manufactured in differing lengths, in North America, 18-inch and 24 inches.
